Well SAOL the Bosniaks is a name for a type of light cavalry, first started in Denmark. They were recruited from Slavs, mainly Bosnians, and it basically became a name for the type of cavalry.

I really don't think that Pirates should be a minor civ. They never built towns where foreign nations could ally with them. Instead they would work for whoever payed them the most.

Well, they really weren't that important in European countries, just another source of mercenaries. While in Albania they were the best of the best.
