Swiss guards in imperial age, wow. Deadly. Mix them with some cav and artillery, unstoppable.

i never rely on hand inf,soi HATE swiss.Grenzers and some Line infantry do the PERFECT job for me:)viva austria! Wink

True, but we were talking about a strategy against austria, respecting Poland, you can defeat them with the same ease as you could beat Austria.

Personally, the best way to defeat Austria, is using Cavalry ( I am excluding the natives factor). Why? Well, If had to choose a civ against Austria, I would either take France or Poland, or any other Civ that gives you instant Cav. The only instant military Austria has, is grenzers, and even though they are cool, there isnt much they can do against cav, except to hold on until u run out of resourses.

And you can always mow them down with artillery that can batter their cavalry until they cant stand the pressure Razz

Grenzers might some times be sitting ducks, but anyway. With Line inf and mercenaries like the Jaeger and grenadiers theyre unstoppable. Austria is not weak, its just a complicated civ.
