Which Company Card and City State Card do you think the most useful?

I like the card sends Rodelero and Condottiere, or the Card which sends Halberdiers and Falconets.

For City States Card, I prefer Genoa and Florence.
One City State Card can make the companies cheaper, if combined with Condottiere Leader, the huge army must be threatening and easy to rally.

Afterall, I love Italians then most Civs in Ne.

We agree on this.

I like Florence, but I don't remember what Genoa did.

I always send a card that adds Industrial and Imperial upgrades to Condottiere

Genoa allows you to train Pavise in Saloon. This card also send five free Pavises. This card is simply unparalleled.

Other then that, the company which sends priests an Elmetis is also powerful, especially after it enhanced by Company improvement cards.

Hmm... Well, you seem to be a good italian-user, could you please explain how to not get stuck in the first age for a loong while when you train villagers?

I usually train 15 to 18 merchants, then upgrade to colonial age.

Like what the ne website said, italians always need to research market techs.

First of all, the first shipment must be renaissance, it can save many precious early resources. The first tech to be researched must be Advanced trading network, then all the resource techs. Perhaps this progress is the obstacle for Italian players.

If i am running out o food or coin, i would sell all my wood in market, since its useless. Or simply not waste vils to chop wood. Do not hasitate using market, if you play italian

Interestingly, collecting treasure is extra important for Italians.

At first yes, otherwise your increase in villager will be very slow, since they require coin.
