I know there has been some work on a mod for AoE II, for the third, however, I cannot say.

A Lord of the Rings mod would require too many custom models to be feasible I fear. There's however, one for aoeII

not bad actually. thumbs up! I especially like the homecities

two things need improvement tho:
we want to see more units Mr. Green
your Concepts seem a bit unclear, aka whats the idea behind aging up, what makes civs unique besides the units etc.

good stuff Smile

There will be 4 ages

I wanted to have as few UUs as posible to not complicate things, so generic manish units are the following. (and which civs can have them) :

Barracks:
Swordsman:Arnor, Easterlings, Gondor, Haradrim, Rohan
Archer: Arnor, Haradrim, Rohan
Lonbowman: Gondor, Haradrim, Easterlings
Spearman: Arnor, Easterlings, Gondor, Haradrim,
Axeman:Easterlings, Rohan

Stable
Horseman:Arnor, Easterlings, Gondor, Haradrim, Rohan.
Lancer: Arnor, Gondor, Rohan
Mounted Archer:Easterlings, Haradrim, Rohan

Arnor bonus: Ages up through events instead of politicians. Which offer effects rather than units. Second bonus pending...

Gondor bonus: Has a unique building called the Warning beacon which allows armies to come to your aid.

Haradrim bonus: All unit shipments can be sent infinite times. All buildings are quite cheap but they loose hitpoints over time.

Rohan bonus: Receives a farm wagon with each age up. Has mainly cavalry units. Real bonus pending...

AoE3 in Spanglish FTW!

I must second Ca Putt here, those homecities are awesome, you really have a good eye when it comes to modifying them...

I must commend you on your Rohan building textures, they're excellent. I would never have imagined that Aztec walls and roofs would look this good on European buildings...

Yeah, I need to agree. You have skill, checanos! Of course, you do not fully hit the example from the movies, but it's astonishingly close. Cool, cool. I'd like to see more of this Mr. Green

Wow! Excellent work, especially on the home cities. Unlike most single-developer mods, yours looks to be quite professional and well-done. Smile

Will there be a download?

Not anytime soon because I still have to learn how to script the RMs and AI.

Try getting some support(aka a team) on the other AoE3 sites. What you've done sofar, surpasses what most mods start with by, well, a lot. Sure AI People are scarce but you've chosen a popular topic and have made a VERY promising first step.

Good luck!

I'm actually quite amazed with how little really new textures/models etc you've managed to get this close to the Movies. That takes a keen eye.
