"As you may have figured out on the first Gibraltar screenie, I and AOE_Fan have been creating trading posts on water. It's only been realized on Gibraltar yet. These trading posts can be built by ships (either Xebecs, Fishing boats or Caravels). The TP is a ship, that can not move from place, but defend itself."

Great. Wars water has sense now.

Before you get too excited, I must say NE wasn't the first mod to get a working naval trading route... It is the first one having sockets on water though, yet this doesn't mean it's the only one. Razz

What do you mean? Confused I don't think Tilanus would forget to add fields that are player-coloured.

Well, he said that equipped units with new models, and then I saw that one of this new models have player colour, which I thought that was impossible....

All good but the Age 2 Musketeer.
I strongly disagree with even touching the Age 2 Musketeer.
The age 2 musk look is like the face of Age of Empires III. What do you see on the front of the box? An age 2 musketeer horde fighting another age 2 musketeer horde. I dont think that the age 2 musketeer should be tampered with
other than that, looks great

If we are to take historical accuracy into account, which we are, the original age II musketeer isn't good. Age II would represent the late 1500's to the 30 years war perhaps. At that time musketeers typically were dressed more like Tilanus'. Though I think it is a bit too much one-coloured.

Pictures Spoiler:

Quite naturally they didn't have the same type of muskets in the 16th and 17th century as they did later on. They were often bigger and cruder than later muskets and supports for them were common.

Also, people wore that style of clothing regardless if it is good looking or not.

on the contrary: They wore it because it was the fashion of the time ^^.

That's in the eye of the beholder, It's more of fashion question. The statement that people of the past did not adhere to modern fashion norms is a bit like saying... the chinese language does not follow english grammer.

Well, I think the sword of Doppelsöldner is not so good as the original one.

And IMO the Doppelsöldner should have the dress like the red one in http://www.ne.elpea.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1689 in age 1st and the current one in age 2nd.

The new sword is much better, it has typical ornaments whereas the old Doppelsöldner two-hander was just a thick piece of metal with no coolness. I've been discussing the Doppelsöldner design for quite a long time to make the best choice. Even though Doppelsöldners also wore the slash and puff clothings that were typical for Landsknechts, these guys were some kind of well-paid Elite, that could afford armour and more expensive clothing. That's why I have decided for the present design of the Doppelsöldner.
