I have been messing around with austrians and found that they are good lategame in supremacy, line infantry/grenzer combo is very good and also, they can get villies out very fast.
Cards recommended:
- Wood trickle & 25% woodcutting age2
- House of hamburg(Cheaper aging card)
- 700 wood age 2
- 400 wood/coin infinite age 2
- 4v/5v cards (or team cheap settlers if it's team game)
- 6 grenzer / grenzer improvement cards whichever
- keep cards
- Heavy fortifications(Improves wall with bastion)

Here is what you do:
At start, put all beginning villagers onto food and new ones go to wood build house 1st then market(don't get coin upgrade)
you need 6 food 8 wood then age up with resources guy
Card 1: 3v or trickle Card 2: 5v or 700 wood
Card 3: 400 wood/coin OR keep

This is where the keep comes in handy build it at a spot that has a lot of trees and hunts nearby and herd towards keep. with the 700 wood crates build barracks/houses and save some for aging to III. While youre saving resources, make some hand cannoner(if you shipped 400wood/coin) or grenzer, theyre cheap and good for defense. If you think youre not going to be rushed, start walling around your base and set up FB's (1 keep at each) also, trade posts are a good idea they can get you resources as well as xp natives are also a good idea if you plan on distracting a rusher (5 Huron distraction is very good, you can take out a house or two)
Once in age 3, make more town centers and get your economy going and make troops.
Also, harassing with hussar is a good idea 5 hussar isnt that bad an idea.
The best part about this strategy is that you preserve some of your economy whether you raid/boom or rush/turtle and it can be modified to suit your style.
Only bad match ups are India vs Austria or Iroquois vs Austria

It's actually called House of Habsburg. Hamburg is somewhere else.

I would always send 3 villagers first. It's just a much better shipment than a trickle. If you send 700 wood first and after that 5 villager, you have all you need to defend, but can also get out a good eco. India is a pretty easy matchup if you ask me. When they put early pressure, you have everything you need to defend. When they try to go fast fortress or fast industrial, you can follow them up, and be even stronger.
