Oh yes of course, in the world of AirsoftMoreno Goo-(vomit)-gle Sketchup is the only source of 3D models in the world. There are no other exchanges and nobody actually makes models for themselves. No, they just magically appear on Sketchup, and there are no other models to be had anywhere else.

Eh dieter, ONE THING:
BIG IMAGES COME INTO A SPOILER Exclamation

Like this:
Code:
[spoiler][img]URL[/img][/spoiler]

Alright? I don't want to see you make the side width explode again by posting super huge images. Also, put them into spoilers if their height remarkably lengthens your post. Thank you!

Answers to your questions:

  1. The Rifleman is a generic unit in NE with unique upgrades for certain civs.
  2. The blue and yellow texture is a placeholder. The red and green is for the British.
  3. I'll do with the Cooper texture whatever I think is right.
  4. I will not give you any models.
  5. I agree that this hat is awesome, but Google Sketchup is a bad 3d tool.
  6. These rifles are not Brown Bess, these are Charleville muskets.
  7. LOLOL. The fort hasn't got any new textures. lol lol atomrofl!
  8. There are no unit modes for forts, but fire modes. They are: Cannon, Mortar, Garrison attack (volley).
  9. Which unit would be able to build forts has not been decided yet.
  10. There is no fixed build limit yet, but the price will be high enough (800+).
  11. The fire modes themselves are upgrade techs for forts, apart from that there aren't any new ones.
  12. Don't expect me to use your units, just because you are very eager to do them. I accept only assets that fulfill quality criteria. I'm sceptic you can fulfill them.

Well I can not provide you quality asset textures for those American units untill I have the 3d models and I don't know how to make 3d models from scratch. I am not as an advanced 3d modeler as you.

Nor are you as advanced a texturer, coder, historian, concept artist, scripter, trigger specialist or balancer. I must admit though, I've seldom seen more advanced spammers than you. Smile

dieter has had made silly questions/topics in the past on the WotTA forums, but now he is starting to be better and is not spamming topics (at least not as many). and I think peugeot407 doesn't like him lol

I do indeed not. I don't so much mind his noobness though, for if I would take offense to noobs I'd have my hands full with them all day, but it's more his attitude of ordering other people about without any reason, his "you must do this" and "you have to do that" demeanour that clearly shows how important he finds himself and how insignificant he finds others. He's tried it at WotTA, he's tried it at TFN, he's now trying it at NE and I would bet I will see the day he tries it at K&B as well.

Oh silly noob dietermoreno, I found that sven in "art/Art4/spc/sven/" for Colonel Sven Kuecheler the Prussian Colonel, has the tricorn hat included in the model so that is the model that Tilamus used for those units with tricorn hats for the European line infantry.

Even better, I found that george_washington_x in "art/Art4/Spc/george_washington_x/" has a stand alone tricorn hat model in the directory "art/Art4/spc/george_washington_x/spc_george_washington_hat.gr2"

So I will not need to ask him for the tricorn hat model.

He used neither. How much longer is it going to take for you to realise these models are created from scratch, not taken from someplace else?

Well, except the folded cap most models are indeed from Mount & Blade mods (from which we got the permission). But I'll be doing more models on my own seeing how easy it actually is.

Right! Mr. Green I could even imagine just minimally changing the texture, there simply is no unit in regular gameplay with this texture and surprisingly most people don't seem to realize it's Cooper. lol

Spoiler:

Oh wow, those Mount & Blade mods are impressive more than any one has modded AoE3.

They look like they have about 100 times more models available for me to download than Google Sketchup, and models of musket WITH BAYONET ATTACHED!

Time for me to start downloading those models.

Edit: Ok I finished downloading and extracting NE mod for M&B.

I find that they don't use .gr2 models they use .brf models.

I try and open the .brf model of a German musket in 3Ds Max 2010 and I see what happens.

Edit 2: The model fails to import into 3Ds Max 2010. What do I do?

Edit 3: I download BRF Edit by Thorgrim. These aren't models. These are modules that contain models.

I download and install version 0.63b. The program gives an

initialization error "Cannot open module_info.txt"
then initializes but then can not import .brf modules so it can not extract the models contained in the modules and export to .obj model for each model.

I recieve an error message that says:

"Error importing file: System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException:
External component has thrown an exception.
at _CxxThrowException(Void* ,_s__ThrowInfo*)
at brf.Parser.parse(StreamReader* reader, ResourceCollection* res)
at
brf.load(basic_string<char\,std::char_traits<char>\,std::allocator<char>
>*fname,ResourceCollection* col)
at
BREFedit.BRFImport.Prompt(basic_string<char\,std::char_traits<char>\,s
td::allocator<char>>*filename)
at BRFEdit.Form1.doImport(String filenameIn)"

What did I do wrong? What do I do?
