1) Does Santa gift bodies of organisms? If so, I would like a new sister, especially one not as bitchy and bratty as my current.
2) A new dog to replace the one that by all means should be dead my Christmas. (She' old, very old, and with little fur, she kinda chewed all of hers.) _________________

If Santa gave away people, I'd request a female, but definitely not a SISTER...
I'm sorry to hear about your dog. |

I'm pretty sure Santa has some numbers for local strip joints or call girls. _________________

That's horrible!

I think I'd give you a book by the Icelandic cartoonist Dagsson, Sufjan... _________________

That's nice of you. I've only scratched the surface of the real cruelty in Cyanide and Happiness though.

Which one should I get: Should you be laughing at this?, Is this some kind of joke? or Is this supposed to be funny? All three maybe, I doubt they're very expensive. _________________

Dear Santa, I wish that President Washington and others will continue to leave themselves susceptible to suggestive puns of various natures by not thinking before they write for the year to come. _________________

Well, I'm not getting a motorcycle jacket, because hoodlums where them.
My mom constantly battered me in the direction of just a plain old leather jacket, which as she explains is "sophisticated" and in every way better and also what I need instead. I tried to explain to her that I don't give a shit about sophistication, who jackets are worn by, and what girls and my peers think of them, but she is, as always, impervious to reasoning.
A Christmas gift is a GIFT, either something that you get a person because you think they'll like it or something you get somebody because they requested it. You either get it or you don't, not try and get something more expensive that the person doesn't even want.
This has only cemented my decision to stop asking for things... it's always some half-assed, crappy version of the real thing. A console without a hard drive, a computer that can't meet system requirements... It's foolish.

A stylish motorcycle jacket for only $80. Great deal!

Yawn. And it's almost TWICE as much!
I'm not sure how many books to ask for (get too many and you'll never read 'em all), but off the top of my head...
Marked for Death is a must
Probably something by Bat Ye'or
Radicals: Portraits of a Destructive Passion
Hamilton's Curse
Although people like Eric Hoffer (the longshoreman scholar who wrote The True Believer) and David Horowitz write about radicals and ideologues in an attempt to discourage that sort of behavior, I consider it more of a playbook for how one could use it themselves. |
