Hmm, it is tempting! Mr. Green On the other hand, when I see the mini-map, the map seems a lil imba regarding sea area per player, no? Surprisingly, we did once think about Australia internally.

What if you give both sides the same amount of fish? Or one side more fish and the other a hunt/mine more?

Honestly I don't think the map Australia should have natives... We didn't ally with them um... at all. Massacred, really. Instead, probably have 'rogue' natives, like the map Malta does with the Janissary's.

But for trivial purposes, "Boomerang Throwers" maybe? lol

Nah, the Aborigines were also used as scouts and guides. Apart from that, if you'd evaluate all other native choices on the question if they were rather allies or victims of major powers, I think you can scrap half of them.

I do like the idea of Boomerang Throwers (maybe not that name) btw. That's possible to make. Smile

It's a shame Crocodile Dundee is outside of the timeline. It'd be nice with a unit with a proper knife.

Nah, why make asymmetrical resources on a map like this that suits perfectly for symmetry?

For the Sea Area per player problem, you could add a bit more water around the edges of the map so boats can get through, or divide the entire country into their different states...

I agree, it should really be fully symmetrical. Australia fits perfectly for that.

Except you probably shouldn't... reason being is, I don't think many players will be playing on the map Australia, let alone the "state maps"

Nah, on first sight it looks like a large version of Hispaniola with more resources and cool natives. I think a cool map for 1v1 and team games.

Quite interesting that the NE team thought about Australia. I didn't really expect it. Dunno why Razz

Really so surprising? Mr. Green If you just look at the maps we always had, you may see the focus of most maps is rather on Africa and Middle East than anything else, which is a bit weird, no? Mr. Green There are only 5-6 maps for Europe, while 10 are for North Africa+West Asia, 2 for East Asia and 3 for America.

Seriously though, that mini-map is making my mouth water... I can imagine the battles already...

lol

And I want to see Ayers Rock! Cool

Would be great to see a map of the British Isles...cold and snowy and mountainous up north in Scotland with Scottish Natives, hilly through the middle, various derelict/half ruined castle/forts to use for armaments, and flat grassy plains down south.

River Thames running in from one side, and Ireland off the coast with some Irish natives.

If only I knew how to make maps would be quite enjoyable to do!
