Hi,

lately, I've been modifying the the civilizations in order to make new units availble and add variety to gameplay (as well as buff some units that I felt were underpowered), but I never figured out how make the unique French units - Grognards and Chasseurs - available as any other unit in the Academy.

I deleted the row which contained the Ship resource cost in proton.xml, but it is still not possible to train them in the game.

Any ideas as to what should I edit next in order to make this work?

Thanks

Yes, I did. However, I found a workaround - I made them trainable at Houses, where it mysteriosly works.

When I tried to train them in French barracks, I always ended up with the message "an additional (nothing) required to train another Chasseur/Grognard", even though I did remove the "Ships" cost of the units.
