Hello guys!
This is political map of the year 1700, more or less on the middle of NE time-frame (1555-1815), of the area that this MOD is mainly focused. There you can see that the most important nations are represented or will be represented in the next version as full civilizations. But there is still place for good natives sites on this map. The questions are: Which native would you like to be introduced in the mod? Why you choose exactly these people? How would you like them to be (units; techs etc)?
P.S: Remember that your natives must come from the area presented in the map. Also in order not to be repetitive I'm reminding you the current natives of NE: Assasins; Barbary Pirates; Bavarians; Egyptians; Finns; Maltese; Mongols; Tuaregs; Westphalians and Württembergers.[/url]

I have always thought the Cossacks of Crimea could be great natives (though they are basically in the Russian civ) and Wallachia could be cool ( and I think they were announced...?). And if we allow the Egyptians who were technically part of the Ottomans, than the Cossacks ought to be fine.

Thank you for your suggestions Orwell!
As you correctly pointed the Egyptians were nominally part of the Ottoman Empire at the time, but they enjoyed a high degree of autonomy and the Mamlukes still held the power. Also the Zaporozhian Cossacks were an independent entity who were vassals of the Commonwealth of Poland-Lithuania and later of Imperial Russia, so they are good for a NE native sites. The Crimean Khanate and the danubian principalities of Wallachia and Moldova were autonomus states under the vassalage of the Ottoman Empire.
Well, I can tell you that all them are being considered as potential natives for NE future versions Wink Do you have any suggestion for their units, techs special features? Every suggestion is welcomed in NE!

Not really...
I imagine that the Cossacks would have a fast cavalry unit available early in the game, maybe Age II, with a bonus against villagers for early raiding. It would have a unique texture that would vary its weapons such as spears, sabers, and such to add more variety.
Besides that not really any suggestions....

I've always thought a Low Countries map is needed, so I would to see a map with Frisian natives.

Frisians?! In which context? Frisians are the Dutch after all. Could you provide any link or info about Frisians being a distinctive group and having any role from 1555 to 1815, other than being an integral part of the Dutch Republic/Kingdom?

In the Low Countries, the Belgians or better say Walloons could be a better and more historical option, since Frisians are just Dutch. Walloons were part of the Spanish empire and of the Austrian Empire later. NE 2.2 Spain will have a Walloon unit. Any idea about their units/techs and special features?

I was figuring the Walloons would more likely be added as the Frisian kingdom was more Renaissance and Medieval than in this age, of course I know nothing of the Walloons as a culture so no actual ideas.

I could most certainly see Greek natives and I would love to see a map of Crete or perhaps an overall Aegean map. Maybe these maps could be like Malta with the Janissaries and Galleys?

Greeks are planned for NE 2.2 Smile They are almost done. We are still considering a special feature that could be added to them. They are amazing, I'm sure you will like them. They will be the very first natives from the "problematic" Balkan area.

Why is it all about mystery with you people Mr. Green . Ok, oh and maybe a Seljuk Turk(though one could say the Ottomans represent them) native for Anatolian/Levant/Aegean maps?
