Who would be up for a tournament for NE? I think that it could help rejuvinate the community, and I would be willing to organise and fund it. Would anyone be interested? Also, should we do rush or treaty?

We have considered a tournament long ago, but personally I don't consider NE ready for serious competitive multiplayer action yet. Right now you'd risk to see a lot of Swiss, Swedish and Italian players and possibly Austrian due to their strong early benefits. With NE 2.1.8 and 2.2 we want all the NE and core civs from AoE3 to be updated and balanced in a way that allows playing tournaments with more than just the 3 or 4 most dominant civs. Wink

It's also a bit unclear on which platform we'd play. I'd prefer ESO, but without the CoV HC creation and upleveling is just a pain in the ass. So technically a tournament should be possible after the release of 2.1.8, but balance-wise I'd prefer 2.2.

Whenever I make AI play against AI, British and French always dominate.

Seems fine to me.

And what does that have to do with anything whatsoever?

I think what he trying to say is, with the right micro and use of abilities, you could use the french or british in a tournament (even more so when french academy is fixed).
