This my first topic, so here we go!
We all (I hope...) know that skirmishers with musketeers works really good. So here is a good way to win a fight on coastal maps. Here is the scenario (For New England, as expample)
40 min treaty, blockade allowed.
Begin with a traditional boom, meaning you build a large and skilled army with tons of villagersif you didnt know.
Get 15 or more at each resource as early as possible, but with swedes, less on wood, so with others Smile (But espacially for swedes.) When there is about 15-10 min left you should have a nice army. Remember to build artillery, skirmishers and heavy infantry. (If you want, revoloution is a good idea.) No cav should be needed.
Positionig soldiers.
If there is a small lake or just a thing thats unpassable, this is even better.
Post up your balk of your fighting ppl first, in the way your base is from the enemy. (This is to be done when there is still some treaty time left) The artillery, mortars, petards, other should be posted up the north of the city. But out of seeing range for soldiers. (guard them with the rest of your infantry) when the treaty ends, march with your "army" against the enemy. Let the art. pieces start bombarding or sueciding or diggin or whatever they do. And ka-boom, you have and excellent meaneuver which ends with you winning.

Well to be honest, it was not very descriptive. it isn't very interesting to play treaty agains the computer, because it doesn't know how to act.

I think it might be hard to write a universal stratege. Focus on one nation is better.

The thing was to utilize the power of each unit. Made best when crossing Musketeers, Skirmishers and Coloniall Millitia to face a larger army. (and stronger man to man.)

Utilize the power of each unit when you use two?

It would be nice to have a more accurate description of the economic boom part, since it more or less can decide the outcome vs. an intellegent player.

So you mean that that makes it unbeatable? Sorry, but I think not.

It's very hard, close to impossible to find an army that beats everything by default There are so many factors playing in.

And I ment two unit types, of course Rolling Eyes

The answer is simple; get an army of 200 settlers. By the time the enemy realizes it's actually your army, it'll be too late; they'll be in their town wrecking stuff up! Mr. Green

I once did a similar things with the ottomans and the speed always wins cheat Devil It was quite interesting to watch. But I have to admitt that I lost more than 10 000 settlers in that game Rolling Eyes Embarassed lol

Really, it is out of the question since there is a 99 limit on settlers.

(Oh why isn't it 100! I hate uneven numbers Mad )

Sounds like a good strategy, but I don't know much about this game. I am only an observing father, and my daughter would know more about it than I do.
