You know what should be in this game?

Jail - Holds prisoners (killed enemy units become them sometimes, or you can train them.)

Prisoner - a unit with a decent attack, if tasked to a jail, you will get a moderate trickle of gold.

Levy - Build-able by the US and Sweden, the levy make not only a good wall but reduces water to shallow so units can cross it. Buildable only near water or in it. Can be upgraded to allow ship of your kind pass. (after ships pass water goes away.)

hmm, what about making those little 'prisons' from the campaigns buildable. There it has a tech that does the following:
-Any unit killed by your explorer(s) will become prisoners, or more accurately; for every unit killed by the explorer, the prison will be filled by one prisoner (represented by a half naked thugee perhaps). There can only be up to 15 prisoners.

when theres 5 prisoners: you can use a tech that allows for a slow trickle of experience

when theres 10 prisoners: you can use a tech that allows you to produce musketeers slowly like a doujin.

when theres 15 prisoners: you can use a tech that makes your heavy infantry stronger and cheaper (slightly, perhaps 10%)

Maybe you can capture enemy settlers and after they do their time, they become you, unless the jail is destroyed.

Also, If you DESTROY a prison, you get ALOT of experience and those trap;ed inside become super strong musketeers Wink

A better idea! Unit can go over it, and ships can go in it! Ships can only build it though.

Tech - gate: only ships you control can go through a bridge

Toll gate: only units you control can go through a bridge.
