Squid said that some armies used them as bowmen
and men used crossbows in WWI to hit enemies in the trenches, but that's not something we should consider a national development that was to be a mainstay for the infantry

British rifles were also manufactured with a special sight on the side that allows them to shoot indirectly at enemies like artillery Rolling Eyes

Here's what they get, a sabre and a musket. Sweden get Dragoons an age earlier, but they use an axe until age 3.

. "The dragoon regiments were also cheaper to recruit and maintain than the expensive regiments of cavalry. When in the 17th century Gustav II Adolf introduced dragoons into the Swedish Army, he provided them with a sabre, an axe and a matchlock musket: many of the European armies henceforth imitated this all-purpose set of weaponry."

Actually, Swedish Dragoons get a foresting ability, but they demount to use it. The axe is permanent, but gets very powerful, eventually they can become powerful skirmishers or woodcuters.

good old pikes, effective against their cav. And mobile units, like light cav. And also heavy elite infantry in field for final blows.

Hang in there just to realize it was a futile attemt and lose lol

Before the Swedes had a similar fling, but it doesn't work as well after they changed the bloodbath card.

I like to play defensive way. At the beginning I use Lisowczyks with some upgrades. Final strike always with full-upgrade winged hussars supported by pancerni and 5 szlachcics evil
