I'm probably going to waffle on about something that would never happen. But after spending half a day reading your forums I've noticed you all like LONG LONG LONG games! So if that is the case why doesn't TAA integrate with NE once the Ancient civs reach their "final age"? Obviously most empires were calved up over history so I can't see why not once you reach final age of that civ and then when you age again you chose a New Civ mid game (which you have a deck for :S probably getting too complicated as it is...) which you could then carry on playing with. Pretty sure you're games would span an eternity then. Obviously the exact civs the ancient civs can become is limited to history and the number of civs you're creating... I'm posting this just as a fantasy as apposed to an idea that i'm asking you to script into TAA or NE...

...But if you could do it I think it'd make myself and a few others happy about never ending games.

I think it would mean a lot of work and trouble.

Two different teams, two different mods that work in different ways...

Of course it's not my dream, in spite of the technical impossibility is it clearly contradictory, a too strong contrast between two different mods.

Besides, we'd need a whole medieval game from scratch to go in the middle.

I propose that when TAA is finished, we (the TAA team) work with other modding teams to make a mod that starts in a TAA kind of timeset and ends in the AOE3 normal or the NE times. Unless you can have more than 5 ages, there should be many more techs and units per age than other games, considering it would be spanning thousands of years. Ages would be:

Archaic Age Arrow Imperial Age Arrow Dark Age Arrow Medieval Age Arrow Naval Age

Archaic Age: Starts around the time metal weaponry became available to nearly every soldier. Soldiers are unusually powerful for the 1st age compared to other RTSs.
Imperial Age: During the rise and dominance of the Roman Empire. Cavalry is used effectively, unlike in the 1st age. Most civilizations strengths and weaknesses will be most prominent during this age.
Dark Age: During and after the fall of the Roman Empire. Most civizations benefit very little from advancing to this age, with the exception of barbarian civlizations, which gives them a significant advantage during this age.
Medieval Age: I think you know what Medieval means... Cavalry are at their most effective in this age, as they have extremely good armour and anything that works against cavalry is very ineffective against infantry.
Naval Age: The naval age focuses on the use of cannons on ships, turning them from transports to highly effective sea to land bombardment vessels. Ships become extremely powerful, although the land isn't neglected - cannons and grenadiers leave a huge mark on land warfare.

Do you mean make or play? And wtf is that about ahlzimers?

To make, as long as a total conversion mod for each age.

To play; A game would normally last several hours (assuming the players didn't defeat each other until the last age).
