America Ideas (Consulate)
Bonus: Age ups get a unique bonus
Type: Economy/ Military aid.
Other: With most shipments, an ability is activated

Armies:
Continental Force: A band of 10 marines. + 2% Musketeer combat ability
Cost: 400 export

Continental Militia: A band of 15 marines and 1 Gatling Gun. Musketeers train 5% faster.
Cost: 800 Export

Continental Siege: 3 howitzers and 4 Gatling guns. + 5% artillery speed.
Cost: 1600 Export

Continental Army: 50 marines, 4 Gatling guns. + 10% ranged unit (artillery counts) combat ability
Cost: 2400 export

Techs:
Industrial Revolution: Ships Factory and Warehouse wagons, and enables the Shogun and Castle to train Howitzers, Ironclads, and Gatling guns.Shrines also gather faster.
Cost: 800 export.

Medal of Honor: Upgrades Marine to a veteran, and gives a + 35% combat ability. Gives mainess the swim ability and a greater LOS.
Cost: 400 export

The Pioneers: Ships a Caravel loaded with many settlers, a priest,a native Scout, 2 explorer dogs and 2 explorers. If on a waterless map, it becomes 2 covered wagons, settlers, a priest,a native Scout, 2 explorer dogs and 2 explorers. Upgrades settlers to pilgrims. (faster gathering rate) Explorers (not Monks) now train settlers and turkeys.
Cost: 1200 export

Revolution!: Japan gets a revolution option (free), villagers turn into Ashigaru musketeers.
Cost: 600 export

You need to put your frontiersmen in foraging mode in order for them to auto gather food. They will, however, not be able to gather anything else at the same time.

they have 2 abilities, under the buildings they can construct. Click on...Pioneer or something like that. Confused The one from the middle.

The American consulate idea is good, but don't transform Japan in America!

It doesnt, but a conventional army makes more sense than one of samurai and spears. Hell, even the Indians use red coats more than anything else, although occasionally they will spam those cavalry they have

yep. But better increase ashigaru attack and give him a more Western Imperial skin, than to have a Japan full of Marines...

In fact, since the Japanese musketeers were basically unchanged since the 16 hundreds, they should have European type uniforms for guard and Imperial. Also, they didnt have any bayonets until Guard or Imperial.

American tactics: Upgrades Ashigaru musketeers combat ability, reduces training time, and increases speed, also gives them swimming.

1. All pop bonuses don't stack I think. The max you can get with America is 215.

2. How about 3 ironclads cost 1000 export?
