Sorry, more than 215.

Saloon give 10, or 20, + the treasure = about 225 or 235 pop. I don't think the saloon might stack.

The americans are a great civ to play Treaty games like NR40 or NR55

In general terms here are some pro´s and cons of this particular civ. I tend to reach a score of 2800+ with them in treaty. Note: This is tested for online games. Feel free to comment, and give any advise. And just a general rule, ALWAYS try to reach Imperial with all econmic upgrades before the 20 min mark, if you cant, practice, it is doable. And with some civs you can get there in 15 min mark (Swiss)

Pros:

Huge Eco: With Slaves and cards you can have up to 160 Villies/Slaves. Just remember to kill some of them when treaty expires

Up to 220 Pop Count w/ card and techs

Cost Effective Infantry: Marines are cool and cost only 75F

Gatling Guns - Amazing against infantry - Just keep them protected from Artillery and Cav

Instant Cav and Infantry with right cards.

They have Miners, who are supereffective in recollecting gold. In the late game, I tend to use them as siege, and diversion.

Awesome Mercenay cards, Asian Immigration, the light infantry bonus cards, the dutch bank, all quite valid for NR games.


Cons:

Doesnt have a strong unit that you can mass, although marines are good, there are better units in the game that do a better job

Poor Cav: I personally do not use them with USA. There are no big bonuses, and unless the opponent goes for an all CAV army, its basically worthless.


Advise: Use the frotiermen to forage for food while they get all the treasures. It will give you a huge start.

That was also my initial intention to revive a bit the forum. It seems so quiet now. Well there is always the excuse of the World Cup, but after that, no excuses, right? Tomorrow plays my natilonal team, so I wont probably post anything....jejeje.
