Oh dear, I'm turning into an Anime Nork.... one of the things the Norks do is that they learn Japanese, picking it up from anime. "Doppelganger" knows quite a bit of Japanese, some Russian, some Lithuanian, and some Chinese thanks to this.

Well, the other day I realized.... I learned what "kanpai", "maru kaite chikyuu", and other words/phrases mean.... I even know the Japanese words for Germany and Italy now. (I already new that Japan is Nippon.)

I was tough to change though, even when I started watching some anime, I refused to like it, saying that I only liked some shows, then I got to a new high school where there were a group of otakus and I ended up joining them, since my nature was almost binded to join the few type of group that would have accepted me fully back then, I must add that they weren't obsessed with it, just into it.

BTW, I learned to count to 999 in Japanese, I don't know other numbers because I don't know the word for thousand.

Now that you are more open, I recommend you to watch Death Note, if you haven't already seen it.

I know this is old but i just want to inform you that "anime"is not simple japanese animation. While animation tried to show itself as reality and abuses of movements to do so anime doesnt. The historical budget restriction of anime created a style that is not pretentious, often stylyzed and exagerated anime brings the cartonish and the more goffy in unlimited ways. In other words:

Limited animation, infinite possibilities.

That being sad, the + of anime lies on it visual sincerety with the public, vibrant energy and art that is pretty modern.
